I’m kind of a huge office supply nerd. Pens make me happy. At one point when I was a nurse, we had a desk drawer full of pens. Like over a hundred pens. My husband thought I was nuts.

So while I’m such an office supply junkie, I *try* to tone it down in our homeschool. Because there are So. Many. Options. But today I’ll share with you some of my favorite supplies we use in our homeschool!

A Dry Erase Double Sided Lap Board

This has GOT to be one of my favorite things in our homeschool arsenal! One side is just a plain dry erase board and the other has ruled lines for young learners to practice writing on. We probably use this lap board daily, and sometimes in multiple lessons in one day.

It’s 9×12 inches so it also doesn’t take up a ton of space for those of you with small homeschool spaces. I love this lap board so much so that I’ve considered going ahead and getting another for little brother. He loves drawing on it when big brother is doing a lesson and not using it!

Primary Journals

I love having primary journals around. We mostly use them for our nature journaling, but since they have space at the top of the page, I also like to have him do some copywork on the bottom of the page and then draw a picture at the top related to his copywork. Sneaky way to get him to work on his handwriting!

Expanding File Folder

Maybe its me being slightly sentimental, but I use these expanding file folders to put Big Brother and Little Brother’s artwork in this year. Every section in the folder is a different week. This way, if I want to look back at something, it’s all in one place and loose leaf papers aren’t flying round our homeschool area in the den.

Crayola Crayons

We go through a TON of crayons in our house with my little artists. They love to color and do it multiple times a day. I usually leave the box of crayons and printer paper on their school table so they can have at it whenever they want. Which is another reason why the file folder above comes in handy!

I always chose Crayola Crayons because even though they are more expensive, they color SOOO much better than the generic ones! I’m all for buying store brands, but I don’t like to skimp in they crayon department!

Canon MX922 All-In-One Printer

I heart my printer. I use this a ton for printing worksheets and color pages for the boys. The biggest selling point for me in having this printer for homeschool use is it does WIRELESS printing. Yes, no need to be in the same room with this thing to print what you need.

I’ve printed photos with it as well and they come out amazing! I’m really happy with this printer as our last one was pretty crappy.

And there’s my top favorite office supplies for our homeschool! I feel like the true initiation into being a homeschool mom is getting a laminator. I’ve had my eye on this one, but haven’t taken the plunge yet!
