Some days are amazing. Others, not so much. At least in our human eyes. Today is our 5th installment of the Weary Mom Series and we will be focusing on Lamentations 3:22-23. You can read the original post here, and Parts 1, 2, 3, and 4 here.

Lamentations 3:22-23

We are not consumed

How beautiful is it to know that because of God’s great love, even in our weariness, we are not consumed? To know that no matter how bad we feel or what is going on in our lives, He has such an abounding love for us?

It’s hard to remember that some days. We may feel consumed by our circumstances, but because of God’s love, we can rest in His arms. His compassion for us never, ever fails. No matter how much we may fail.

Everyday is a new day

His compassion for us not only never fails, but it is new EVERY morning. Everyday is a new day. And everyday, we can rely on that compassion from Him.

We tend to let our bad days flow into the next. Being oh so tired, we drag yesterday into today. But God’s compassion for us is there every single day.

Rest in His arms

Today, weary mama, rest in Him. Great is His faithfulness and compassion for us. Just as His compassion for us is new every morning, we should rest ourselves in Him every new morning as well.

My challenge to you this week is to meditate on Lamentations 3:22-23 and really take it to heart. Know that your God is able and willing to keep you in His arms. That you don’t have to be consumed and weary when life gets hard.

His compassion never fails, it is new every. single. morning.
